ESSENTIAL FOR SHRIMP HEALTH

I heard about them from a YouTube channel (Mark's Shrimp Tanks) and they are vital to the health of your shrimp. They release much needed minerals into the water and I even catch my larger Amanos nibbling on them. They also make the water really clear.
