Garlic Beast! on Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

This is by far the BEST garlic press! It's a small animal! The garlic cloves do the hard work! I've only used the other two in my entire life and never found them to be much easier than just chopping the garlic yourself. I decided it was time to try a different garlic press and found myself between the two - I chose this one mainly because of the little basket in the middle which is useful for rinsing. I no longer peel the garlic or cut off the ends. and stood by my cutting board, chopping garlic, being careful not to cut your fingers. Simply pull off the head of a clove, put the whole clove in (I used very large cloves) and squeeze! It pops up (sometimes like a pimple - I know - ugly) - so make sure it's pointing where you want it. There's still a lot of garlic at the bottom - I just grab a knife or whatever object is nearby and scrape it off. Voila! Done For cleaning - I open and pull the paper cover out of the basket - sometimes it gets stuck to the bottom and I have to help with some utensils - but I can't complain about that. all seriously from the garlic! I did see some garlic coming out the sides, but I just grab it with my finger and toss it in the pot. I've found rinsing to be sufficient, especially since I've only used it for garlic so far. I hand wash it with soap and water every few uses. It's very comfortable in my hand - I'm 5'1" and have a bit of arthritis in my hands, but I'm really good at it - sometimes it requires both hands. This thing is one of my favorite kitchen utensils! Saves time and nerves. You should love it and you can't go wrong.
