So after reading all the negative reviews about this product I ignored my instincts and decided to try my luck and buy it anyway. I received the product, excellent packaging, beautiful appearance, excellent build quality. After I connected everything (HDMI monitor 1920x1080, RJ45 ethernet and USB switch) everything worked great except HDMI. I tried rebooting my 2018 13" Macbook Pro Touchbar as I saw other reviews saying they had to do this for the display to work and boom it did. The next day I was able to HDMI couldn't get it to work though. When this dock is powered it gets VERY hot. I was afraid the HDMI connector might have burned out due to the heat coming from that power thru thing. I was just about to starting again with revain when i decided to try something else to get the external display working i unplugged the dock and plugged it straight into my laptop and everything is working fine again so in summary it's working (sort of) , I'm only giving 3 stars because 1. I don't need to connect the power separately for my display to work and 2. this thing gets too hot when the charger is plugged in and 3. the description says you can connect 2 1080p displays. and while technically not possible, you can only mirror displays onto their extension.
