Structured and durable with a thick, comfortable sole. Walking on gravel or rocks shouldn't hurt or be a problem. The sock is roomy - allows me to spread my toes and doesn't constrict. The rest of the shoe fits as it should, doesn't fly off. But not too tight - the material is ideal. The width feels medium to slightly narrow, but there's plenty of room for adjustment and lace openings (the shoe's tongue is wide to accommodate). The laces are also elastic, which ensures comfort and freedom of movement when walking. I don't care about flip flops so these are my favorite summer shoes.
