I bought these first because I use a Gillette Mach III and I love the open blade design of the Mach blades. Gillette never clogs because I can just rinse them under the running water. All hair that has been cut is easily washed off as it is open in the front and back. This does not apply to Bic hybrids. I saw them when I needed new blades for the Mach III. The price for a handle and six blades was half that of a small pack of Gillette blades. I saw that the three blade design had an "open" look and I knew I could wash them too. Not right. Some genius designer took a beautiful open blade design and then covered the back of the blades with a strip of plastic! I was halfway through my first shave and the blade was useless! It was clogged with hair and impossible to pull out. I finished shaving with the second blade and was already writing a letter to Bik in my head. Then I came here and wrote this. Do I sound annoyed? It's hopelessly frustrating to see such an obvious technical flaw in a great product and know that I'm the one paying for it and losing my money and still have to spend money on something done right. I can't imagine how the highly paid and educated bic designers could have overlooked such a fundamental flaw before millions of them were out. Didn't you try it before?
