I bought this as a last resort to save the lining of a pair of boots. He got all the points for my application and I think he did well. I can't comment on the durability for car seats or furniture, but I recommend it for this type of application. If you have a pair of shoes that you want to save from the garbage heap, they cost a few bucks. At the moment I can't speak about its durability but I'm happy with my first results and one day of testing.
