We just bought a new Eclipse Cross (larger crossover) with a black interior and needed something to protect it from white dog hair. After reading many product reviews with seat covers/hammocks in this price range, I'm glad I chose this brand. Almost every product has great reviews, but many people have complained that other brands have a very strong vinyl and chemical smell. Well, we love that new car smell, so I didn't want anything to ruin the smell right away. Even after reading many reviews, this brand had no complaints about the smell. And they were right! The product is new and smells like vinyl but it is very faint and after 2 days of airing the smell of vinyl is gone. Then of course I wanted to test it on my dog. The product didn't come with instructions, but they do for a reason. INSTALL COMMON SENSE. I don't know why people complain about it. This is a 4 clip tarp, you don't need any instructions. Look at the picture so you have the zip ties on the right side, throw it in your car and install it. There are four clips, one for each headrest. Fasten 2 to the front seat headrests and fasten 2 to the rear seat headrests. Essentially making a good doggie hammock while almost completely protecting the entire back seat area of the car! EXTREMELY EASY I tested this on my dog by taking him to the park. It had rained the day before and I intentionally left his paws dirty. When I got home, I noticed that the hammock seat cover was covered in fur and dirt. I undid 4 headrest clips and easily removed the hammock for cleaning. I looked at my seat and didn't notice or feel any water or dirt seeping through. The product left a mess on him and not on me. It worked great! I put the hammock on the floor, wiped it with a towel and the dirt came off easily. The hair looked like it was very stuck to the hammock (which is good, it doesn't fly around the car) and I thought it would be difficult to vacuum, but it came straight out of a shop vacuum! Looks like new. If you have an SUV or truck the product lays flat so when I fold down the seats I lay it flat and the dog can run and lie in the back. The hammock looks great too. Black color looks very good in the black interior of the car. Other than that, I'm very happy with the seat pad/hammock! The only thing I'm not sure about is the water resistance and I'll test it by spilling coke and see if it leaks. Overall this is a 5 star product and I'm glad it doesn't smell like other brands.
