Well, the luminous flux is definitely whiter than standard bulbs, but they're certainly not as white as LED bulbs. They are good for high beam and the bulb's bluish glass fits well in the headlight housing. Note that when the high beams are also DRLs (like on Honda or Toyota cars) they look a little, very little, whiter. as OEM in DRL mode but not as white as when the light is on at full voltage. If you are looking for a white DRL you will need to use an LED like the Philips Ultinon Essential (I have them in the low beam). No halogen bulb, not even PIAA Ultra White, will look truly white in DRL mode.
