I bought a Geoyeao 1080P 15.6 inch portable monitor for traveling and as a second monitor for my laptop. The monitor is lightweight and comes with a case that doubles as a stand. The monitor initially seemed dimmer than my laptop's screen, but the brightness and contrast settings can be changed by pressing the menu button. After selecting and increasing the brightness and adjusting the contrast, the monitor now looks like my laptop screen. Likewise, the monitor sound can be increased by pressing the menu button and selecting the volume setting. I am currently using a mini HDMI cable and it works right out of the box with no additional software or updates. Connecting a monitor with just a USB-C cable doesn't work on my laptop. However, since I've used a mini HDMI cable, this hasn't been a problem so far, but I suggest checking your computer's video output specs to see if it's compatible, especially if you're using the USB C/Display port as a want to use your primary monitor port. Otherwise it's been a good portable monitor so far.
