Very nice steering wheel cover

I've wanted one for three years. For some reason, the 2017 Forester has a different steering wheel. This case fits well, except for my own mistake, which I'll explain later. The case itself is of good quality. The lid fits well overall, except for the notch over the center spokes that leaves a gap in the lid. Definitely a no regret purchase. And the feel is very good compared to the standard plastic wheel. The installation instructions are good. You must read it before you begin. And there are many videos on how to sew euro seams on YouTube how to sew steering wheel covers. Euro stitches look very nice. i learned something Apply adhesive later and only when necessary. The band is very strong, which makes it very difficult to adjust2. First from below, from the middle and outwards. See my photo. I made the right side from the other end which left a gap there even after trying to connect the two pieces together3. After sewing both sides, you can easily pry open the silver plastic cover with the tool provided. You can put the steering wheel cover under it and do the first adjustment. When you're done, put the plastic cover back in place. I believe you can avoid the tearing as shown in Figure 4. For curves where you lay your thumbs, you can do it slowly. Slide the cover against the wheel for each stitch you sew. This allows you to see where the pre-sewn stitches are so you can thread through the correct stitch5. As for the spokes at 3-9 o'clock, I put ties underneath to hold them in place so they don't slip out after I tucked the flaps under the plastic cover. Hope that helps.
