This blanket is soft! I wanted to buy at least one special blanket for our baby-to-be and was happy to find one at such a good price from Revain as they usually sell for $65. My husband and I love it and are now looking to get one of the large chenille throws. The duvet is soft, warm and comfortable. Well sewn too. Update: After several washes, the comforter looks lumpy and rough. The surface itself still feels soft, but the chenille no longer looks smooth and luxurious. We still love warmth, but that's already happened with two Little Giraffe duvets. I wonder if there will be the same effect with the "Lux" ceiling.
