Review on Hawaii VHS Julie Andrews by Matt Larsen

It was never possible to complete this 3+ hour movie in 48 hours. It's better not to read the book before watching the movie because the movie misses so much. In the first hour of the film I watched, there was no explanation as to why the Polynesians left Bora Bora or how long it took to travel north. Such is the case with the months-long journey of Boston (?) missionaries around Cape Hope before leaving for the Hawaiian Islands. That's all I got to see in the film, apart from a few brief glimpses of Lahaina.
