Review on ๐Ÿ“น Canon DC220 DVD Camcorder 35x Optical Zoom (No Longer Available) by Antonio Parson

Disappointed with grainy image

After doing some research and reading reviews I bought this camcorder from BrandsMart for a good price of $278. I had to test it and decide to keep it or return it within 5 days due to their return policy and ended up sending it back. However, outdoor videos looked great even on my 50-inch plasma HDTV when filming indoors in my living room. Room quality was terrible. My old VHS camcorder worked better than this thing. Although it was night, I photographed in a fairly well artificially lit area, barely dark, which I would call more "low light". , The image has become extremely "grainy", which I certainly did not expect with modern technologies. It was still very grainy and of poor quality on other smaller non-HD TVs. Since it was pretty easy to use, although the instructions aren't very well written, I figured it all out in the end. Things are arranged quite nicely and fit nicely in the palm of my hand, even with a small hand. Read another manual and study another and another camcorder. Now I'm looking at Son y dcrdvd308 and a BrandsMart employee told me that Sony's night shot feature is much better than Canon's. I wish they would have told me that before I wasted my time on it. Unless you plan on shooting outdoors or indoors during the day with the blinds open, I wouldn't recommend the Canon dc220. I think there are better options for the same or a little more money.
