I like the light color but very dry

I really wanted to like this. I bought this because I really like the regular Burt's Bees lip balm. And after a lot of research on lip balm and the so-called "lip balm addiction" I settled on Bert's Standard Balm. I love that I can just have the lightest shade and not something flashy and obvious. Unfortunately, when it comes to moisture, it's the polar opposite of Bert's regular lip balm. Bad lip balms usually contain irritating ingredients and/or too many occlusive ingredients that create too much of an impenetrable barrier and your lips can't breathe or retain moisture on their own. They cause a constant feeling of dryness, so you have to constantly reapply the balm. Viscous cycle. Good ones contain more semi-occlusive ingredients - protect and moisturize without causing irritation or completely blocking air and moisture from the environment. Burt's is definitely one of the good ones and their standard balm is recommended by dermatologists. Poorly. After half an hour my lips were drier than before application. I even tried using Bert's regular balm first, then on top of it and vice versa. No, it's still very dry. Looking at the ingredients, I suspect all of the waxes in this product are the problem. Compared to Bert's regular balm, it only contains one wax: beeswax. It contains *three* other waxes besides beeswax. It doesn't matter if these waxes are "natural" or "botanical". I mean, crude oil can also be considered "natural," but I don't want it on my lips either. Finally I will not return it. I'll use it sparingly until I find something else. And I definitely won't buy it again.
