Review on πŸŽ’ Water-Resistant Backpack with Leather Trim by Kyle Gresham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad but has its own characteristics.

I bought this bag to replace the bag I've been using for almost 2 decades. For $40 I wasn't expecting to get a top quality bag and neither should you. This is good and does the job well, but there are limitations and quirks that you should be aware of before you pull the trigger. Space: The most obvious thing about any bag is space, and this bag has plenty of that. As a college student, I had no problem carrying everything I needed with me and easily had room for 4 or 5 textbooks in addition to my everyday essentials. There are zippers here and there on the bag and inside the bag with small pockets (only one inside) so you have space for small and big things. The side pockets are a little tight for my slightly wider water bottle, but that should be fine for most. Design: The leather and canvas design is simple, rustic and efficient. Looks good, I can't deny that. The pleats on the bag are made to add a slight vintage and distressed look in a good way. Comfort: I'll admit I haven't had too many heavy loads in this bag, so I can't tell you how it feels with more weight. This is fine for light loads, but at times it can pull away from the upper/mid back and only put pressure on the lower back, although the issue may resolve itself when there are more items in the bag. Quality: I gently tugged on one of the straps. attached to the outer pocket to open and put a water bottle inside. About half the stitching on the leather piece came undone with little to no effort, and I didn't want to repeat it on the other side. Be careful not to pull too hard. Another issue is that the magnetic clasps that keep the bag closed are attached to the leather buckles. While the buckles are functional, they are only new. The straps are too long to use the buckle effectively and the buckles themselves are too loose to hold the straps securely. The magnets attached to the bag appear to be strong, but due to a stitching issue on the side of the bag, I'm concerned that it might eventually come loose. One feels noticeably freer than the other, which further increases my discomfort. Apart from these things, this bag makes a high-quality impression. All of the materials seem pretty strong and it doesn't look like it's going to fall apart anytime soon other than what I mentioned earlier. Stow a decent amount of stuff when traveling. It's solid and I have very few negative reviews about it.
