It definitely does what it says on the tin: I had no problem setting it up to use a DUALSHOCK4 (PS4) controller with a Windows 10:1 PC. Connect DS4 to PC with a USB cable, press and hold the PS button to turn on the controller, and let Windows finish installing the drivers automatically2. Disconnect DS4 (USB) from PC3. Set the switch in this adapter to: PC4. Plug this adapter into a USB port on your PC and let Windows automatically complete the driver installation5. Press and hold the button on this adapter until the light flashes rapidly6. On DS4, simultaneously hold: SHARE and PS7 buttons. Watch the DS4 light bar from behind until the light stops flashing. Works great for me, only thing I don't like is that games show XBOX buttons in tooltips (game says press X, you press SQUARE on DS4). I think there are ways to fix this for some games like installing DS4Windows or changing the settings in Steam etc. I didn't do anything and played games normally just checked for the right key sometimes the first time this happened is that I perform this action this game. Considering Sony sells the $20 version and the $100 version, I can sort out the mismatched button names. If you can too, grab it. I'm glad I did.
