Convenient Pneumatic Chairlift

This is the first lap chair I've owned. It's also the first kneeling chair I've sat in in over 30 years. The last time I used a kneeling chair was at a friend's house in the late 80's. :) I bought this chair to replace my standard office chair. I work remotely, so I sit at the computer at least 8 hours a day. The standard chair still caused lower and middle back pain and stiffness in the hips, so after some research I found that a kneeling chair might be the best option for me. The reason I bought this particular model was the backrest, armrests and pneumatic seat lift. I thought the backrest and armrests would allow me to use a chair that is very different from a standard office chair. My strategy was to use the chair without them and then collect them when I really needed them. Turns out I never needed them. Putting everything else together was very easy. All that was needed was to attach the casters with the included wrench, then adjust the seat height and knee brace. The seat height can be conveniently adjusted using a pneumatic lift. The lap rest was also fairly simple, using a pin-in-hole mechanism. Many online resources on using kneeling chairs point out two challenges to overcome: 1. Make a habit of sitting upright for most of the day and engaging your core2. Adaptation to the sensitivity of the lower leg when using a knee brace. To be honest, point 1 wasn't a problem. I'm quite an active person who works and works regularly. I didn't experience any real fatigue in my core. On the contrary. The chair offers a more natural and easier way to sit up straight with better posture. After a few days, the pain and tension in the lower and middle part of the back disappeared. Point 2 above was a much bigger hurdle to overcome. It took about two weeks for the pain in my calf to subside enough to allow me to sit longer. I doubted it would happen, but it did. You have to give him time. Since I've had this chair, I've never sat in my old standard work chair. I have only used this chair which has been satisfactory for a first lap chair. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it wobbles a bit even when overtightened. The thickness and density of the padding seems reasonable, and the ability to adjust the seat height and knee pad height offers enough customization options to find the right combination. The ability to recline the seat and/or knee pad would be an added bonus.
