First of all, the name says it all: MASSIVE. That thing is ridiculously big. Just epic and I giggled like a kid putting it together for my impatient son. The parts have embossed letters that match with a little instruction from the manual. The tracks/loops are very clunky, not very flexible and seem built to last. More than other loop systems I have. The motor requires 4 (yes, 4) D-cell batteries. The motor is a beast and feels more aggressive than regular Hot Wheels boosters that use two D-cells. It's a huge loop, so it makes sense. Comes with a very flat, low profile Monteracer cab. I also received one with an amp/loop kit that I previously bought for myself. They do NOT look cool (in my opinion) but they stick on fast looping trails. However, my son has had fairly mixed results with other Hot Wheels machines my son has. The "High Voltage" and "Brit Speed" cars from the other Fast Track/Loop kits will only go through a couple of times before flying on their own. Not surprisingly, the Aston Martin 63 DB5 isn't very good at this track either. The Lamborghini set performed surprisingly well considering they are usually pretty bad with hinges. However, most cars have difficulty starting through the launcher. They work fine when pushed into the engine manually, but successfully completing the first cycle with the launcher is kind of a godsend, a little more reliable on monteracers. I took a picture of the car storage built into the top of the hinges. Cars are ranked "Best" from left to right in terms of how easy/reliable they are to start and drive through the loop. However, you can loop in your own track and ignore the launcher if you wish. This is our next project! It's not a cheap set, but it looks pretty solid. I think it's worth about the asking price. Make sure you stock up on D batteries and flat cars ahead of time!
