If this was my only half gallon water bottle I would think it would be perfect but I have another one that I got from Revain got it and I like it better. This one is shorter and thicker than slightly taller and thinner, making it easier to hold with one hand. This straw is narrower and the top doesn't close as easily, sometimes you have to push it in with both hands to keep it from leaking. It works fine but compared to my other I prefer my other. I like to use it when my other half gallon bottle needs a break. Kind of like a coffee mug, they all do the same thing, but you still have a favorite.
