Update 06/08/21 Bought now for many as a keepsake. I currently have two black and one purple. The yarn is always consistent and never has the crappy notes you find on cheap spools. Original Review: I paid another dollar for this and it was worth every penny. Very strong, excellent quality and feel, medium to heavy wax throughout the reel, NO KNOT. I bought a cheaper brand and it had a knot halfway through. I laughed at the other reviews and thought they would have invented it, but no. You get what you pay for and that's it. All my little buns are that and I've never had to deviate. Shop with confidence and you'll always get a quality product. I have :) UPDATE 11/13/2019. That said, I bought it again, the quality has remained top notch. It still comes from the factory in a plastic sleeve and inside a plastic shrink wrap. For roll comparison, this roll measures 4.25 inches or 108mm box end to box end. The wax line itself is 3.5 inches or 89mm long from the top to the bottom of the roll. on a roll it is 2 1/8 inches or 54 mm.
