This is a good pet door. Durable and well made. However, it was difficult to install on top of the durable pet gate on the side wall of the mesh room. It did NOT snap onto the thick screen so had to be pulled off and held together with screws and bolts from each side. But after about an hour it was installed and instead of using the cat flap, which my homeless man must have been afraid of, I simply used a box cutter to cut the inner screen along the bottom and almost to the top on both sides - the top of the inner screen remains intact and it makes for a nice, easy "flap" that she's not afraid to stick her head through and come and go on her screened-in patio.
