I rarely write reviews but in my experience I felt the need to do so. I bought this trademark based on the reviews and the 10 year guarantee but the product did not protect our memory foam mattress as advertised. Of course it was better than nothing, so my wife and I continued to use it. Finally, after washing, the membrane completely detached from the fabric, rendering the protector unusable halfway through the 10-year warranty period. After contacting the company and speaking to Roberta (who was lovely) I was asked to provide proof of purchase in order to receive a replacement. However, after calling back the next day to provide the receipt, I was told that Protect-a-Bed would not honor their warranty as the seller I bought from on Amazon was not one of their "preferred" retailers . Apparently there are a select few retailers that Protect-a-Bed does in fact honor their warranty with and endorse their product. If I had a choice, I'd rather not deal with companies that beat around the bush with questionable business practices with their second-rate product warranties. While I appreciate Roberta's professionalism, I strongly DO NOT recommend Protect-A-Bed, either the product or the company.
