Review on High Performance VHF/UHF 2M/70CM BNC Handheld Radio Antenna (HYS-771N) for ICOM Radio V8 V80 V80E V82 V85 F3S HT-66 by Josh Elkins

Most of the reviews here are about antennas, this review is about car antenna mounts. The mount is very stable and looks well made. It comes with an Allen key used to adjust the clamp to keep the antenna vertical. It has one major downside. You can see in the photo that the head of the screw that holds the antenna mount to the clamp is so large that it interferes with the SO239 adapter needed to connect the antenna to the RF cable (both with PL259 connectors). I tried removing the thick washer and that worked, but the screw head is still too big for the tether to connect. I'll try a few other things. It can end by welding the bracket to the clamp. It's a shame because otherwise it looks very well made.
