I have several powerful flashlights, most of which are waterproof. One is 6000 lumens so I know what it looks like and it's not a 6000 lumen light. If I shine it in one hand and my actual 6000 lumens in the other, that light appears to be around 1000 lumens to my eyes. It also has a built-in charging connector, so it can't be that waterproof. The splash guard would be more like that. However, this is a decent $40 light for a home. The star rating takes into account the requirements of the product.
