I love this soap. Does it have a strong smell? You bet. It dries you out a bit. Yes, maybe a little more on your hands. If you're familiar with essential oils, you know they can have a strong scent, but I find it calming and relaxing. What's more, the smell doesn't linger after you step out of the shower, so you don't have to worry about a thing. Lots of negative reviews complaining that it dries them out prompted me to try this soap. I suffer from athlete's foot at least once a month during the summer months, occasional itching and pityriasis versicolor, which has to be treated with large amounts of medication. I've owned the product for two weeks and have seen incredible results. Not only did my rash disappear, but my skin became healthier. I didn't do anything crazy either, I just showered every morning according to the directions on the bottle. Now this may sound crazy but I've found that I get better results if I turn off the water for a few minutes while I apply the product so it doesn't constantly wash off, I get better results but everyone is different. If you're on the fence, risk $15.
