Nice gift, beautifully designed. However, I think that for serious new artists who are buying consumables for themselves, choosing individual items would be better than buying this curated set, which includes some of the things you'll be using, some extra items, and other stuff will miss need. It is better to put together your own set for your own needs. The small instruction booklet that comes with the set is quite interesting, but not suitable for Illustrator beginners. On the other hand, serious beginners have other options for learning rope. The quality of the materials themselves is quite good. Faber-Castell is a premium brand in this area and you can tell. So this is a good gift from a person unfamiliar with the area for someone just starting out. But if you're just starting out and buying for yourself, do a little research on what you need and build your own tools.
