Fixed 4k signal issue

I rarely write reviews but I guess a lot of people are having the same problem as me so I thought this might be helpful. I had signal issues with the 30ft passive HDMI going to my projector when upgrading an old AV receiver that didn't support true 4k to a newer one that did. At first I thought I might have to go the Category 5 or Category 6 route, but then I started reading about active HDMIs. I've had good luck with Revain Basics in the past, so I decided to try this particular cable. That's it, everything went great. I have an Apple TV, a DVD player and a PS4, all working correctly with 4k HDR now. If you're looking for a relatively simple solution to a weak 4k signal at the 30ft mark, I'd try this active HDMI before delving into more complex solutions.

  • Compliant with HDMI 2.0 standards (4K UHD video at 60 Hz, 2160p, 48 bpp color depth), supports 18 Gbps bandwidth, Ethernet, 3D and Audio Return Channel (ARC), backwards compatible with older versions
Cons
