UPDATED! Well, a 3-week trip, at least 10 strenuous hikes and many small city walks. This little pup is worth every penny. Lexi liked it, she felt comfortable and was free to move into her preferred position. Now my SIL is buying 1 for his pup too! OP: This carrier is well made and durable. It's comfortable (for my dog and for me!) either forward or backward. The pluggable head hole is just awesome. Lexi loves to see what's going on and to walk, but she's an aging pup and gets tired easily. The bottom is well padded with a washable cover. but strong enough that she could curl up and lie down without the wearer collapsing on top of her (or throwing my center of gravity off). Build quality is pretty strong for the price. I was very very surprised! I've tested it out on a few local outings - I'll update if it doesn't match the more intense adventures we have planned for next month. If I haven't updated. just assume it happened.
