Bought for watersports (wakeboarding, waterskiing etc) and these shorts are great for that - velcro and drawcord ensure they won't come loose no matter how hard you're pulled through the water. They fit pretty well too depending on the brand, I usually wear a size 4 sometimes a size 6 medium waist but big bottoms. I ordered a small one and it fits perfectly. As they have a 2" inseam they are quite short, I'm 5ft 3" on a good day and I'm comfortable in them, but taller people may find their bum is too exposed.
