Review on πŸ”Œ Ogrmar Waterproof Universal Electrical - Dust-Resistant by Tim Airy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice Box Good Value Appears to be well made. Will consider again for other projects.

I own my own shipping company, specialize in various things including marine electrical and am an ABYC certified technician. I'm installing an inverter on the pristine Ocean Alexander. I stumbled across this reasonably priced, good size inverter panel. This worked very well with the Blue Sea Systems AC panel I used. I built it last night and really loved the dimensions, they couldn't have been better, and plenty of room in depth needed for the incoming line circuit and the output loads/circuits. I like the two 8/32 machine thread inserts at the top and bottom of the cable management box. It's really nicely done, I've used many different boxes for electrical systems (my company makes electrical equipment for small ships in the Navy and works with marine systems), as well as for large yachts and small boats. I have several crates for the Navy. Eaton, Newmar make good boxes but very very expensive and I've seen similar guys at AMZ for a lot less. It's really cool because of the swinging door. It can also be locked. The seal seems strong enough to keep water out given its IP rating. While this is not a box exposed to the elements/outdoors, I try my best to ensure everything I do meets or exceeds ABYC electrical standards and US Coast Guard regulations. This box is beautiful, sturdy, well made and roomy. Will definitely consider this brand for further projects if needed. I would not hesitate to buy. The price is great for Prime shipping and not at all contrived or sketchy. Appreciate in any case without sacrificing quality.

Pros
  • Robust savings box. Robust money box made of industrial plastic, which ensures a long service life. A sturdy wall box with plastic interior and hinge pins makes it strong enough to work in harsh environments.
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
