Review on 🌰 John Boos WALKCT-BL1225-V Blended Walnut Counter Top: Highest Quality with Varnique Finish, Ideal 1.5" Thickness, 12" x 25 by Beth Wilson

I was hesitant to order this worktop as some criticisms were of poor packaging, tears and warping. In fact, I had to order the countertop twice. I got an oiled finish the first time, no varnish. The second time I got the right finish. The wrong order was packed very securely. However, there was no second order. It turned out to be a return. The outer packaging was very carelessly taped. I'm surprised he survived at all. I suspect it was returned due to surface imperfections. The end connections of the pieces of wood are slightly raised in 3 places and the paint is cracking (see photo). Since I've worked and finished a lot of wood, I'll just sand it down and coat it with a more durable varnish. Although the "varnique" finish looks great, I am very disappointed with it. I rinsed the glass and placed it on the Boos counter. An hour later a ring appeared that I couldn't remove. Looks like he made it to the finish line. Grinding and polishing should also solve this problem. I absolutely cannot recommend this table.
