🌰 John Boos WALKCT-BL1225-V Blended Walnut Counter Top: Highest Quality with Varnique Finish, Ideal 1.5" Thickness, 12" x 25 Review

I was looking for a butcher board for my island for months when I came across this one. Not only was it the perfect size, the price was amazing for the quality. I love it and highly recommend it.

Our block arrived covered in mud. Wiping with a damp cloth raised all of the wood fibers so much that the block had to be sanded and repainted. Great quality lumber compared to Lumber Liquidators or IKEA meat blocks but not sure it's worth the premium given the hours of extra work.

I bought one from Home Depot which is very different from this quality (and I paid more for it lol). One side looks as if it was trudged through a field of stones. The other side is decent enough to use BUT there are still a few cracks and it feels very wavy due to poor sanding. I'll keep it because I don't use it at home, but if I did I'd be pissed.

Beautiful, thick and durable tabletop. I was afraid that water stains would appear on the countertop. I bought oil and lubricated it well. Water simply accumulates and does not spoil the coating at all. Bonus, we managed to carefully cut out the funnel, so we turned this piece into a cutting board. We've received many compliments on both the countertop and cutting board. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

After receiving two damaged countertops, the third was the best. I was able to successfully return the first two without paying for shipping. Revain was very helpful with this process until I got the third one intact. This is a beautiful butcher block countertop and it is very thick. The combination of walnut tones on the upper was exceptionally beautiful. It's a small piece of cutting board, but it fits perfectly on the lower narrow cabinet I use between the washer and dryer.

I bought this as a lid for my cooker when I wanted to use my cooker as a worktop. I was about to make a custom one when we discovered this site and found one in exactly the sizes I needed. I was hesitant to order this worktop as some criticisms were of poor packaging, tears and warping. In fact, I had to order the countertop twice. I got an oiled finish the first time, no varnish. The second time I got the right finish. The wrong order was packed very securely. However, there was no second order. It turned out to be a return. The outer packaging was very carelessly taped.
