Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slightly wobbly but worked

2000 Chevy S10 2wd Manual Transmission 4 cyl. -- In the photo of the cat I removed, please note the style of the hanger on the old and the new, they are very different. Wanted cheapest + fastest shipping and this was claimed to fit so I took a chance. The hangers on the new cat are in the right place but they are shaped differently so I had to fiddle around and slide them in there. Bracket that attaches to the frame with rubber hangers. I unscrewed it from the frame and turned it upside down to accommodate the new cat so it wouldn't press on the case. It still doesn't hang quite right, but I can ride it until I think of something better. The gasket holes were slightly offset, I had to loosen all 3 bolts and the nut so I could twist the pipes by wiggling the bolts through the holes on the cat, gasket and muffler pipe. After one end was loosely bolted, I did the same, wiggling around the three front holes and then tightening them like cleats on a tire. The tools I needed. REMOVE Sockets Pink sockets: 9/16" - 1/2" - 13mm (I like the 1/2" drive on rust encrusted buckets) Same size open end wrench Pry bar Hammer my friend) Impact wrench (really helps if arm / wrist/wrists suck) angle grinder (need to cut some rusty screws! going blind too) INSTALL: wrenches and/or sockets + driver in O2 sensor 9/16 πŸ€ͺ I'm a backyard less than newbie, googled and needed one Mechanic Didn't realize I needed an O2 sensor and couldn't get the old one out Lost the bolt that sealed the hole on my test drive around the block Sensor order During that time I've driven maybe 10 miles and despite the noise of the missing screw where the o2 sensor should be it's a heck of a lot quieter and smoother driving about fitting a new cat i had to pack it my girlfriend needed her truck u And I needed a bath and a glass of wine.
