In the house we just bought we were in a bind because we had to install the TV above the mantel (which is off center) - we have a lot of tv components - most of them can't be covered by a work cabinet so this stand fit perfectly and worked great in the room. It looks great in it's industrial style next to the ship's deck and tiles and it has enough tiers and space for all our TVs, DVDs and sound systems - we even had space for our internet modem and so on. I find this cart very versatile in terms of uses - a lot of people use it in the kitchen but that's exactly what we needed. We chose to remove the wheels to make them look more like a permanent mount, but that's not a bad option either.
