Review on KA500 320Mm Digital Readout Suitable Drilling by Larry Blanco

I bought 3 scales for my G0704. I've seen a lot of setup videos from others who went to extreme lengths to get the large form factor scales working on their little milling machines, but in each case they sacrificed something, be it an arrow clamp or something like that then move. These scales are so well designed! Zero and I mean zero losses installing them on my G0704. See photo. They come complete with precision mounts and dust/dirt covers that fit together perfectly! I had to make a spacer rail for the Y axis scale and a vertical block of angled aluminum aluminum to hold the Y axis readhead. The scale is very easy to install. Note: They come with a red plastic lock that secures the reading head until you are ready to use the scale. Keep the latches in place when measuring for installation as they hold the reading head in perfect position with the scale! Fabulous! They can still be moved, only fixed. They work very well and I've already got the details done and let me tell you these glass linear scales make the job easier with my DRO display! You can't go wrong with this scale!
