Pros: In my case the GoPro adapter fits well, definitely snug but doesn't put any strain on the mate's pins. Bad: Carvings are bad. Very poor. It would be useless if I didn't have a way to re-tighten the screw. You can see the result of rethreading in the picture. It absolutely would not crash into my cell without tapping it again. However, once I recut it with a 1/4-20 die, the threads turned in with no problem. So. Buyer reservation. The handle is too big. This affects the range of motion of the GoPro adapter. Considering I'll be putting it on a GoPro Speed d/c I'll just go to the hardware store and replace it with a 50 cent 1/4-20 screw to minimize the head size, so it doesn't interfere with freedom of movement so much. After all, having to tighten a screw isn't the end of the world as I'll be replacing it at the hardware store anyway. The real value lies in the rather unique aluminum plate. I would still recommend it, the price is too high for the quality control and workmanship. But it's metal. And alternatives are not always available. If you're addicted to the GoPro ecosystem, be aware that you may need to take a trip to the hardware store to get the most out of it.
