Review on 🧂 Versatile Totally Bamboo Salt Cellar Bamboo Storage Box: Swivel Lid, 6oz Capacity by Eddie Fowler

I was very happy when I received this salt box. I chose a renewable source of bamboo. It looks well made and I love how the top sliders open. Unfortunately, about a week after receiving it, a tear appeared on the side from top to bottom. Not enough to make the salt seep through, but definitely noticeable. I used wood glue and a small hand vise to seal the crack, which fixed the problem. As I live in a very dry, arid climate I applied a few coats of edible mineral oil to the outside to give the wood some moisture in hopes of preventing future cracking. In general a good salt shaker, I do not regret the purchase. However, I would definitely treat the wood with a food-safe oil.
