Tired of the 3x zoom on my Canon digital camera, I found this camera for $189 and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. It has one of the best lenses I've seen on this type of camera. Response time is also better than my other camera - there isn't much lag between photos. I had some power off/on issues or the lens stuck as others have mentioned, I switched from Lithium AA to Lithium. CRV-3 and the problem is over. Either way, CRV3s last longer, and as mentioned, you can buy them as rechargeable batteries. After using the camera for 5 months I found a small button to the left of the viewfinder to toggle the viewfinder on and the screen off. Save battery life. Stupid me, I thought the viewfinder was just for looking! I'm very happy with the crisp colors in photos, the fact that it has sound on video and the many modes you can shoot in, although I usually only use the automatic mode. . To record a video, hold the button down for as long as you want to record and release when you're done. I'm not sure how long it records, it depends on the capacity of the SD card. This is my first digital Kodak and I would buy it again.
