I love these bows. I use them in my Shih Tzu Poodle mix to make "braids". She doesn't mind them. I agree with the reviewer that they are difficult to brush, but even the loop my dog's groomer put on gave me the same problem. Active dogs collect a lot of dust around their gums, even over several days. And rubber bands generally have some kind of residue. I haven't found rubber bands for dogs without a fastener yet! If that gives me trouble, I just cut the elastic and it slips off, saving the dog hair pulling.
