I was hoping this would be an easy take out alternative when traveling with kids, but it's not accurate or consistent. Our Braun is very reliable and gives very similar readings as shown, but the windshield had a high level of variability and was much worse than accurate. This kept him fairly close, when held the stated distance from his head he read 95-96 which was clearly wrong. All of these measurements were performed on me at the same time. I wanted to like how comfortable it looked but not worth it as it doesn't work. This was actually a replacement too as the first one I received was dead on arrival. I would look elsewhere for the thermometer as it has no value other than a toy. I hope this helps potential viewers as I've spent money on a couple of thermometers myself as a mother of young children.
