They improve visibility significantly over standard units but aren't too bright to disturb oncoming traffic. I've had them on my XJ for about a month or two and have not been stitched yet. They fit right into the XJ. The only thing I noticed about them is the high beam indicator on the dash, which is very dim when the lights are on (low beam) and lights up brightly when switching to high beam. At first I thought it was high beam, but now I'm used to it. In addition, they burn very weakly while driving (almost like daytime running lights). They don't bother me at all and it's hard to tell unless you hold them up to a reflective surface like a window, mirror, etc. The light docs didn't mention it either, so I'm not sure, it's all because of that my jeep or just because of what happened.
