Well I've been using this for a while and apparently that's why all our loved ones smell unclean and like they've sat in the laundry machine for a while multiple days. I switched to this one because we bought a house on a septic tank and I noticed that my cleaning product I used to use was leaving a white crust on our leech line. I remember being told some soaps and detergents are bad for septic systems so I bought these and the leech line area improved a lot and I no longer smell the septic tank but my clothes don't smell clean after washing. You'll have to go back to regular detergent or find something else that's safe for septic tanks.
