Review on Plantronics Voyager 5200 UC (Poly) Monaural Headset - Connect to PC/Mac, Teams, Zoom & More with Noise Canceling by Amphai Nanthaklang ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend the product for purchase.

Wind protection and noise cancellation are better than any other headset as of 2022. Impressive range. If you leave the phone in another room, then where the Jabra Stealth simply fell off or could only signal an incoming call, but did not let you speak because of the crackle, Voyager 5200, to my surprise, keeps in touch and gives clear speech. At first, I could not wear this headset for more than 3 hours a day, my ear began to hurt badly. But this is individual and goes away with time. Jabra Motion or Jabra Stealth are much more comfortable in this regard due to the fact that Motion had a speaker on a retractable bar, and Stealth does not cling to the top of the ear. The headset speaks 2022, the position sensors seem to be brought to mind, they work clearly. Another of the minuses - at the end of the conversation, it does not let you know that the connection is completed, this is very inconvenient, because the connection may be interrupted, and you will continue to say something to the interlocutor, not knowing that he has long been disconnected. It's not fixed in the settings. The speaker volume is too high. When used under normal conditions - in the office, in a car or on the street, if there is no strong side wind, and when you do not have to move too far from the phone, I did not find any special advantages of the Voyager 5200 over other modern headsets. To be honest, I would even go back to the Jabra Motion if it didn't fall apart after 1 year of wear. I am supplementing the review, now a look from the other side: now I often have to talk on the phone with the owner of the same headset. Yes, it's a thing! The speech quality is even better than through the microphone of the phone, sometimes you even have to ask to put on the headset. But this is provided that it is quiet and calm around. In a noisy place, the noise reduction slightly reduces the clarity of speech, but also removes the noise completely. But with a very strong wind, the conversation becomes impossible. However, this is the best we have so far.

Pros
  • The microphone is truly windproof, long range, very aesthetically pleasing Excellent voice quality
Cons
  • May take some getting used to when worn Speaker volume too high No call end signal
