Ordered the medium and it fit as described but I found it a bit snug on my hips and rear. If you are older and/or have some texture to your skin that you don’t want visible, you may want to size up. I then tried XL and it was very loose, so I tried L and found it just right. Of course, it was a bit big in the waist but since the waistband is elastic with a drawstring, I could tighten it. Also, it was looser on my hips and rear so that I had a smooth appearance and some extra room.I loved wearing these for hiking in the summer - they are very lightweight and did not feel hot at all. The pockets were roomy - plenty of room for my iPhone. I like having my legs covered when I walk in the woods so I do not get bug bites. I also plan to wear these for biking.Very happy with this purchase. Would buy again.
