Handy tool but I wouldn't count on it

When used with a Canon 70D and EF-S 18-135mm lens it's clearly designed for a lighter workload. Although the description states that the arm can withstand a maximum load that far exceeds the load on my camera and lens, in practice I have not found this to be the case. The rubber pads on the clamp wore out within the first 24 hours of attaching it to my desk. The next day the camera fell off the table onto the floor. Luckily I use cheap hardware. I did without the clamp and tried to use it only with a tripod. It's proven a little more stable for now, but still sags a little and needs frequent adjustment and tightening, and mounting it on a tripod makes it a lot less versatile. For the money I was expecting something much better, but personally I'd put it in the $10-15 range. I will say that the bonus cell phone adapter can be handy and might be a good selling point for some since its own cost is around $5. Overall, I wouldn't pay more than $25 for a product like this in the future and will most likely only use it on lighter cameras, not DSLRs.
