You get what you pay for. Period. Salomon is a great brand and if 9 out of 10 of their products are excellent then this is one of them. My only "negative" comment is that they are a bit warm and your feet get sweaty, especially in spring/summer depending on where you are. Life. But that's one of the downsides of using Gore-Tex for breathability. It's your decision.
