6011 is a great all round rod. Penetrates (to a limited extent) into paintwork, rust and dirt. Excellent for weather conditions where shielded gas welding is not possible. With the right technique, both relatively thick and thin metal can be welded effectively, especially if you can slide over thin metal. The 6010 will do all of that, but the 6011 will work on AC and inverter machines that often won't work with the 6010. The 6011 is a really great all round rod. These 1/16" bars meet all of the above, they're just optimized for thinner stock. Also ideal for small machines with limited amperage or where only a standard 120V outlet is available or where generator power is limited. You won't want to use this pole for major structural repairs, but sometimes you're stuck in traffic and all you need is a quick fix so work can continue until the end of your shift make can cost a lot. Every caretaker should have a box with them.
