Review on Hazet 190L Empty Tool 22 64 by Daniel Espinoza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Helpful with character and beautifully designed - Hazet gets a thumbs up!

I was looking for unique storage for my small but growing collection of picks. After stumbling upon her and Gedore, I decided to give it a try. Many of the reviews question the build quality and finish, and nearly all mention the console's rigidity. What I found: the packaging - it's not very good. but the seller packed it super so the normal packing won't damage the chest. Done and fits - I would give it a 9 out of 10. It's not a $500 device, but it aligns well and everything is solid and feels very sturdy and textured. The paint is good. No damage, dents or scratches. The boom needs to be lubricated. I used a fake PB blaster. I sprayed it on each pivot point. Leave it on for a few minutes and then open and close it. Already after 5-6 openings / closings he relaxed a lot. It still feels firm and right, but when you push the handle, the drawers slide out and open smoothly. It takes a little nudge to close them by simply lifting the handle, but that will change as tools are added. I have no doubt that this thing will last a long time. I look forward to seeing it age with use and take on a character of its own. For a $100 box, it has a story and some nice utility features. It's a little heavy, but made of steel. I dig it up.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
