A year and a half after my breast cancer diagnosis, I'm still searching (and spending a small fortune) for an aluminum-free deodorant that doesn't make me smelly. I have tried so many things and have been disappointed so many times. I read a lot of good things about it and read reviews so I decided to give it a try. What a monumental disappointment! I applied it to my freshly washed armpits and by the end of the day I noticed my armpits were really smelly which is very embarrassing in public. I don't have to sing and dance that my armpits need a detox before this works as I don't use regular antiperspirants and have been using only natural deodorants for over a year (and usually only try one). and then not using anything when it becomes obvious that one of them isn't working, so most of the time I act au naturale. Any detox that should have been done has probably already been done. doesn't work and I really, really wanted it because I love the scent of rose (that's the only reason for two stars). Through continued use, I've found that if I wash my armpits with Hibiclens every night and then reapply deodorant after showering and in the morning, I generally don't get armpit odor, although I still have it sometimes. I don't know if it's just Hibiclens or a combination of Hibiclens and deodorant. I'm still looking for an effective underarm deodorant that doesn't cost a fortune, is aluminum free and actually works. Unfortunately, these probably don't exist. ETA: The company contacted me and asked about my experience. When I told them it just didn't work for me, they offered to send me samples of different scents to see which works best for me as the oils they are scented with are better able to control the smell . They also offered to refund my money if none of them work for me. It's pretty good customer service which is why they got another star.
