I was surprised by the quality for the price.

Great gadget! The second in the family (of this particular generation), as well as the third Kindle in the family. I use it in conjunction with LitRes; for this copy (spouses) decided not to create an account on Amazon, and download books via USB as needed. The cover, in principle, can be bought separately, but here it is included, and as a "finished" gift it is more convenient.

Pros

Cool device, nice to hold in your hands. It is convenient that you can feed him books bought outside of Amazon (probably so on all e-books - I have not tried others).

Cons

If there is more than one device (different family members) in an Amazon account, and third-party books (that is, bought on Amazon itself) are used, certain inconveniences begin with library management. I don't want the kids in the library to have Fight Club, for example. :)
